Yea same here. They give a random number of CC shards. I got ten in one and one in another. They are also in Kamadan.

K, I managed to pick up a present, and the "Drop Item" button appeared, but then the Grentches got me and it 'sploded

I'm guessing we have to try and get them to the kids scattered around?

Edit: Just to confirm what Feathermoore Rep said, when you give a present to a kid, you get shards.
The Grentches ignore you if you've picked up a present and moved before they've got there.

Yup. Take them to any of the 'young child' npc scattered around the city. And Sugar Rush definately helps. So eat a fruit cake or red bean cake for some extra speed.

Wierd I turned in a gift and got a box which I opened to get a Peppermint Candy Cane. Its red not green, and it specifies that it removes all death penalty.

Small guide on completing 'In Grenth's Defense'

Create a Ritualist, or use one you already have.
Get to Kamadan or LA asap.
Talk to the Rift Warden and enter Underworld.

Put down Jack of Frost near present.
Charge up Hidden Rock Glyph.
When any enemy appear, position yourself just in front of Jack of Frost, between him and the enemy.
When enemy is close, press the 1 or 2 button (depending wether Mega Snowball is charged).
Quickly strafe left or right, keep dodging snowballs until the Jack of Frost has killed the enemy.
Repeat until Grenth appears.

Talk to Grenth, take bonus.
Keep repeating until you have cleared all.

This is probably the fastest method of farming Frozen Ectos, you'll do about 100 dmg every second and you can keep dodging while Jack of Frost does the damage.

In Ascalon, who do u have to take the Presents to in order to recieve a Present. The kids give u shards, not presents.

Hmm...you can make the "The Hidden City of Ahdashim near the south east platform. Same area as Trial of Wisdom. Map:" route a lot shorter:

Little let down on the present running... I have returned 10 and have only gotten 1 shard each time. Not very useful... in fact... pretty useless. I can get more than that by snowball fighting or just smacking some monsters around farming for booze.

Hopefully it will get changed back to the whole present thing and it is random.

I wonder - is it actually possible to get a winter gift just like past year? There didn't find any collectors with that and I don't get presents when I bring gifts to kids. Is it actually possible and, if yes, then how?

You can get presents in Lions Arch by giving the presents to Scrappy Jhim.
He will give you a present that is a random item...Snowman summoner, Spike Eggnog, Eggnog, Peppermint Candycanes.

Yep, you just pay 10gold to him and he'll make a copy of whatever hat you let him see before. They're a xerox machine

In your inventory. If your inventory was full when you took the quest, you can't get them and have to abandon/retake the quest to continue. It's a small bug.

yeah i think so......i believe other event will have them as well.Im guessing the dragon arena(Dragon festival) would be a good place to give those except mabye a point per point.mabye a little less frustrating

Eh they said that there will be other games to get gamer points but so far there hasnt been one so Im guessing in a day or two they will have something like the rings from the dragon festival. Iunno just my thoughs :P
